Earth & Sky Yoga Teacher Training

Applications open soon for our 2020 Yoga Teacher Training Program

At the heart of Earth & Sky is Anusara® ( - a simple, elegant yogic philosophy and methodology in which body, heart and mind are brought into alignment through practice.

Earth & Sky’s director and senior Anusara yoga teacher, Cassandra Missio, leads our 200-hour Anusara yoga teacher training program, which is offered in two 100-hour parts. The first phase is comprised of a series of eight weekend Immersion Workshops and is open to all Earth & Sky yoga students, aspiring and existing teachers. The second phase, our Teaching Practicum, is exclusively for aspiring teachers and existing teachers wishing to engage in professional development.

Phase One – Immersion Workshops (100 hours)

Testimonials from Immersion and Teacher Training Graduates 2019:

'There were so many positives; the community and closeness of the group. The growth on all levels not just physical although I do feel physically better than ever.
I especially appreciated and benefited from the amazing experience provided, not only from Cassandra but all the truly inspirational and talented guest teachers.
This was world class!
With all my heart, thank you.'

'Highly recommended and well structured course. Cassandra is a generous and gifted teacher whose personal & professional insights made the teachings more profound!'

This series of eight weekend workshops will deepen student understanding of the philosophy, anatomy and practice of yoga, providing strong foundations and working knowledge of the basic principles and practice of Anusara yoga.

Importantly, the Immersion Workshops also stimulate the development of a kula (community of the heart), among whom students delve deeply into key Anusara yoga teachings. Working together, focussed on heart expansion and inspired biomechanics, students grow towards the realisation of the potential inherent in their individual lives and practice.

These eight Immersion Workshop weekends are held across: Friday evening 6–9pm; Saturday afternoon 1.30–5pm; and Sunday 8.30am–3.30pm.

Earth & Sky members and qualified yoga teachers receive a 10% discount on the Immersion Workshops.

Phase Two - Teaching Practicum (100 hours)

Testimonial from an Immersion and Teacher Training Graduate 2019:

'I loved every part of the 200hr Teacher Training with Cassandra. She covered every aspect one could think of to lay the foundation and prepare us to start our journey as yoga teachers. The training included the history of Yoga, philosophy, meditation, anatomy as well as asana practice and the importance of alignment. I am so fortunate to have had Cassandra as my teacher - she is truly a gift. I would have never been able to complete this at any other studio. Thank you so much Cassandra.'

Upon completion of the Immersion Workshops, aspiring teachers and existing teachers engaging in professional development, may undertake the Teaching Practicum.
